Finding my voice.

It's kind of ironic to use the word "voice" since I am no longer able to speak above a whisper.

I had a serious case of COVID and I had to be intubated. That experience left my vocal cords paralyzed.

I am thankful to be alive. I almost didn't make it.

It's been 10+ months since I've written the previous post on finding my voice. Things have not improved with it. I am still only able to whisper. I have days where I am generally in good spirits about it, especially when I consider what the alternative(s) could have been. On other days, it is really discouraging.
