How many of you get into a situation where you’re flying through something, and you’re sure you have it figured out. But you’re wrong. You’re wrong, and it takes you a minute to realize it. If you’d just slow down and read more. Take it all in. Digest. Evaluate. You know… slow down. It might work better. It might be more clear.
I gave notice at my job today. I’ve only been there a few months, but I’ve also been doing side work in addition to that. The side work asked me if I’d be interested in doing it full-time. DUH.
The goal today was to get started working with the API of some vendor tooling. Basic authentication worked fine, but in their docs, they recommended using token auth. It took forever to get anywhere. I gambled and decided to reach out to the vendor, even though it is a Saturday. They were gracious enough to respond. He said he thought it was just a bad copy of one of the keys, since he put his token in and it worked as expected.Read more…
